Cos d’Estournel supports the Orlando Magic Youth Foundation

This year the first Orlando Wine Festival & Auction was organized by the Orlando Magic basketball team and its CEO Alex Martins, a connoisseur and collector of fine wines, as a benefit for the Orlando Magic Youth Foundation (OMYF).

Cos d’Estournel was the only Bordeaux estate to enjoy the privilege of participating in this year’s exceptional event.
It began with a private dinner served with the estate’s wines and attended by basketball player Evan Fournier. The culminating moment of the event took place the following day with an unprecedented auction followed by a gala dinner with the entire Orlando Magic team.

At the start of the auction, Étienne de Nantes, Business Development Director for the U.S., presented the Double Magnum of COS100 donated for the occasion. Composed exclusively of Merlot harvested on the estate’s “Parcelle des Femmes,” or “Ladies’ Plot,” planted by the women of the estate during World War I, COS100 embodies a tradition of excellence and involvement that is dear to Cos d’Estournel.

Patrons paid homage to the exceptional nature of COS100 with bids reaching 38,000 dollars, making the iconic bottle the second-highest sale of the evening.

An extraordinary and exceptional wine, COS100 will be sold outside traditional distribution networks. Only two barrelfuls of the wine were produced, yielding 100 Double Magnums (3 liters) and 10 Balthazars (12 liters). Following the unveiling of COS100 in 2018 at two unprecedented auctions in New York and Hong Kong, during which 2 Balthazars and 2 Double Magnums were sold, and after the 2019 Naples Winter Wine Festival and the 2019 Orlando Wine Festival, Cos d’Estournel offers you the opportunity to acquire one of the few remaining Double Magnums available for sale.
