U<\/span>ltramarine, emerald, fuschia, carmine… and this year, sky blue ! Every year, there’s a buzz of excitement and impatience to discover the new colour.<\/span><\/p>\n

After a year of patience and decision-making, Dominique Arango\u00efts, who pulls the strings in both the vineyard and the cellar, kicks things off.<\/span><\/p>\n

Before dawn, between the rows of vines, loyal grape-pickers from the Andalusian village of Alcal\u00e1 la Real get to work. For 50 years, they have shared this moment with their companions. This special relationship and unwavering loyalty mean that we can look forward to each harvest with confidence. They all demonstrate the same enthusiasm, and are dressed in the same way: comfortable shoes and trousers, and a tee-shirt matching the famous accessory, which is vital in the hot, late summer sun.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=”1\/2″][vc_single_image image=”40111″ img_size=”700×350″ add_caption=”yes” alignment=”center” css=”.vc_custom_1698325485906{padding-top: 20px !important;}”][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row css_animation=”none”][vc_column][vc_column_text el_class=”custom-intro”]<\/span><\/p>\n

For three weeks, the sky-blue caps are an essential sign of recognition and kinship amongst the extended Cos d’Estournel family.<\/span><\/p>\n

Once the painstaking work is done, everyone leaves with their precious cap and the feeling of contributing to the birth of a new vintage.
