Assertive, elegant and stylized, the gold-colored label unveils the elephant, the historical symbol of Cos d’Estournel, which majestically embodies the oriental inspiration that prevails at Cos and that was dear to its founder, nicknamed in his time “the Maharajah of Saint-Estèphe”.

Louis-Gaspard d’Estournel inherited his family’s estates Cos and Pomys in 1791 and in 1794 began pursuing an enterprising vision and a series of ambitious projects in the northern Médoc, a region he held dear.
With his acquisition of Cos d’Estournel, Michel Reybier was likewise eager to explore the potential of new territories north of his estate.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_separator color=”custom” el_width=”30″ accent_color=”#a30b34″][vc_custom_heading text=”G d’Estournel replaces Goulée by Cos d’Estournel from the 2019 vintage, a perfect introduction to the world of Cos d’Estournel.” font_container=”tag:h2|text_align:center” use_theme_fonts=”yes”][vc_separator color=”custom” el_width=”30″ accent_color=”#a30b34″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]In a constant quest for excellence, these vines have been for several years now replanted, grafted and their soils ploughed mechanically in order to obtain grapes of the utmost quality.
A fresh climated, combined with the natural ventilation brought by the nearby ocean, allow for the creation of lively and generous wines, born out of a blend of a majority of Merlot with Cabernet Sauvignon.

The vineyard, situated in the northern Médoc, saw more extreme weather conditions and less rain than Cos d’Estournel. Fortunately, it was able to
compensate for climatic conditions thanks to the age of its vines and their roots, which forever dig deeper from one year to the next, light ploughing efforts—carried out more intensely than usual—and the fresh air brought by the nearby Gironde Estuary.
The 2019 vintage of G d’Estournel delivers vivacity and balance; it is at once fresh and rich, vigorous and discreet. Vibrant and highly spirited, with unmistakable notes of pepper, it is a long, silky wine, whose nose of blackcurrant and violet is highlighted by aromas of eucalyptus, thyme and rosemary.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_single_image image=”21765″ img_size=”397×450″ alignment=”center”][/vc_column][/vc_row]

Crafted with the same dedication and expertise as the wines Cos d’Estournel and Pagodes de Cos, G d’Estournel replaces Goulée by Cos d’Estournel from the 2019 vintage, a perfect introduction to the world of Cos d’Estournel.

[124,140

post-21056","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-journal-de-bord","category-article
["GET
