The Naples Winter Wine Festival is one of the most favorite highlights of the winter season in the United States. Organised every January in Naples, Florida, this unmissable event gathers some 600 guests from all around the world during 3 days, with wine celebrations, concerts and, above all, an extraordinary charity dinner.
For the 4th consecutive year, Cos d’Estournel took part in the festivities with two precious lots offered for the auction, sold in profit of the Naples Children & Education Foundation: since its creation in 2001, the Naples Children & Education Foundation has gathered more than $176 million, all to benefit several charity programs for at-risk and underprivileged children.
The culmination of the Naples Winter Wine Festival was once more the charity dinner. A superlative evening to take pride in, even for Cos d’Estournel, as the auction broke records. With winning bids as high as $130.000 for the lot comprising a C0S100 Double Magnum and a stay at La Réserve Paris Hôtel & Spa, and $240.000 for the COS100 Balthazar and a stay at La Chartreuse de Cos, new highs were set!
By donating for the auction two bottles of the iconic COS100, a wine composed entirely of Merlot harvested in 2015 exclusively from the “Parcelle des Femmes” – planted by the women of the estate as their male counterparts battled on the fronts of World War I – Cos d’Estournel pursues its tradition of excellence and commitment in service of transmission.
